The KW Roll-Out was first developed a few years ago by fellow cyclist and long time friends of Kirk Williams. Kirk had a mountainbike accident back in 2009 that broke his neck and put him in a wheelchair. As you can imagine, the cost of living with such a serious injury is immense. Funds raised from the Roll-Out's have allowed Kirk to become physically and mentally stronger as well as regain his independance. His strength continues to grow by working out at the SCI Recovery Project and playing wheelchair rugby on the Denver Harlequins team.

Grants and adaptive programs have allowed Kirk to travel and 'push the limits' of what is expected from being chairbound. He has now written two pieces for Sports N' Spokes magazine and continually updates his blog site with pictures and video's from his adventures. Kirk rarely sits still and challenge others to do just the same.

The Roll-Out has become an anual event in order to allow Kirk to receive ongoing recovery therapy as well as to pay for medical and exercise equipment.
